Day by day, motorcycle thefts are increasing in Ranchi, and police are conducting vehicle checks at every corner. Police found two men riding a black bike without a number plate in Ormanjhi on 19th June and escaped upon seeing the police. Ormanjhi launched a vehicle checking operation, and the same bike was found in Sikidiri. Police investigation found that they were two members of a gang of bike thieves. Also, the police arrested one more member. Three members had criminal records: Vikas, Aniket, and Sintu Kumar. These criminals sold 35 to 40 bikes, and seven bikes were recovered from them.
The motorcycle thief gang includes 15 gangs. First, they identified bikes at different locations, passed the information to members of the gang living in Nawada district of Bihar and four to five people from Bihar would travel to Ranchi and steal motorcycles from different places.
