CM of Jharkhand Hemant Soren has ordered an investigation into the broken leg case of an 18-year-old admitted at Raj Hospital in Ranchi, resulting in death and a Rs 22 lakh bill. CM has ordered DC Bhajantri to investigate the case and take strict action against the responsible.
This event took place a week ago when Raju Kumar, an 18-year-old, broke his leg in a road accident and was admitted for 40 days to Raj Hospital, Ranchi. His leg developed an infection that spread to his head, and he died. The hospital management charged a bill of 22 lakh rupees to his family. Local residents created an uproar at the Raj Hospital in Ranchi. The family alleges that the death was due to medical treatment negligence. Raju Kumar's post-mortem was conducted at RIMS to determine the cause of death and to take action against the Raj Hospital management in Ranchi.
