The name of a PLFI commander, linked to a family in the Hatia area in an extortion case, has come to light. This family was asked for money through letters. The first time, they demanded one lakh, later two lakhs, and after that five lakhs. If they don't pay the amount, their son, Prince, will be killed.
A resident named Kiran said that she found an envelope while closing her house demanding money on 27th September. The family neglected it, but later they found the second letter near their neighbor's house and, for the third time, near the gate of another neighbor, demanding five lakh. If they didn't pay the amount, their son was threatened with murder. The family went into panic after receiving the third letter, and the complainant said that such demands were made to their relative's home in Pokla in the Gumla area. The family has demanded an investigation in this matter to identify those who made the threats and take serious action against them, and the police are investigating the matter.
