PM Modi attended the 3rd India-Nordic Summit and is all set to upgrade the strategic partnership in Green technology and Innovation. PM Narendra Modi said that Nordic and India can blend Nordic expertise in sustainability with India's scale to build reliable global solutions for the future.
PM Modi said that India-Nordic relations are on a steady growth trajectory, and Nordic investments in India have increased by 200 percent. This has supported India and offered growth opportunities in Nordic countries too.
The Strategic Partnership between India and Nordic countries will strengthen each Nordic nation: Norway holds expertise in Arctic affairs and the blue economy, Iceland holds expertise in fisheries and geothermal energy, Denmark in health technology and cybersecurity, Sweden in defence and manufacturing, while Finland holds expertise in digital technology and telecommunications. This level also promotes talent mobility, research and development between the two countries, and the Sambandh between India and the Nordic countries expresses hope that would build more meaningful relations in the future.
Nordic leaders also reaffirmed their commitment towards reforms in multilateral institutions and strengthening their collaboration with India in addressing global disruption and conflict. PM Modi also reiterated India's position in favour of conflicts in West Asia and Ukraine. India and Nordic Summit for 2026 concluded with both sides boosting confidence that the India-Nordic strategic partnership will emerge as a model of sustainable development and innovation.
