To mark the successful release of the 23rd installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, a successful event was completed at Birsa Agricultural University in Ranchi on 20th June 2026. This program focused on helping farmers know the scheme details and introduce them to new technologies related to the animal industry and agriculture.
PM Modi's address was broadcast live from West Bengal during an event held at Ranchi Agricultural College. PM Modi has transferred Rs 18,880 crore to 94.4 million farmer families in the country through Direct Benefit Transfer.
Technical information was given to farmers related to poultry and pig farming, natural farming, and Kharif crop management. They were also educated on income-boosting measures. This event took place under the leadership of the Director of Extension Education, Dr. D.K Shahi, and Additional Director Niranjan Lal. Dean Dr. Kaushal Kumar, Dean of Forestry faculty Dr. B.K Jha, Registrar Dr Alok Pandey, Director of Research Dr. Shailesh Chattopadhyay, and other officials were also present. Directorate of BAU, Extension Education, and 16 Krishi Vigyan Kendras run under the university, and 2500 farmers from Jharkhand state participated in this event through online and offline modes.
