The initiative of Har Ghar Tiranga is being celebrated across the country to promote a sense of patriotism among citizens and India's cultural heritage. In 2026, this marks the fifth year of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative that started in 2022. It is the most evolved, largest public participation movement in the country. This initiative of Har Ghar Tiranga is aimed at encouraging citizens of the country to take part in national unity.
2026 marks the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, the national song of India. Mass singing of Vande Mataram will be conducted in different parts of the country. Lok Sabha MP of the BJP, Bansuri Swaraj, paid a floral tribute to Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, followed by the Tiranga Yatra from Pilanji to Greater Kailash as India marks its 80th Independence Day. She also said that office bearers will pay tribute to national heroes.
