A press conference related to the Tribal and Regional language promotion was held. A silent language march will be held on 9th October from Morabadi to Main Road in Ranchi. For the past two months, the campaign has been planned for the promotion of regional languages of Jharkhand. A language conclave was attended by 5,000 researchers and professionals at Ranchi University. On 22nd July, a language dialogue was held where a decision was made to plan a silent language march to preserve Tribal languages of Jharkhand.
The forum said that tribal teachers are not receiving promotions, and teachers have contributed to JPSC and UPSC question paper setting, and many teachers have passed away, and only 12 teachers related to tribal language are there. Employment creation opportunities should be made in the nine regional and tribal languages of Jharkhand for students, and these languages should be added in schools and colleges of Jharkhand.
The local languages of Jharkhand are being ignored, and the forum has appealed to the Jharkhand government to take action; if no action is taken, then language lovers will protest to preserve the tribal and regional languages of Jharkhand.
