Salt Intake That You Should Avoid
 
The major issue that nobody is talking about is that you are not reading the numbers. The average Indian consumes anywhere between 20 to 25 grams of salt every day. This salt consumption is 5 times more than the WHO recommendation. According to the WHO recommendation, a person must consume less than 5 grams on a daily basis. This is a major problem that Indians are avoiding due to the amount of salt consumption.
 
The papads and pickles that you eat every day are adding additional salt to your diet. You should take care because blood pressure is the primary contributor to your kidney damage.
An excess amount of salt increases your blood pressure, which affects your kidneys. People avoid this problem until your kidney gets damage. Dr Varadaraju says you should avoid consuming an excess of salty snacks, papads, and pickles in your meals, which can affect your kidneys' health. Dr. Harsha says instead, it's better to consume pink salt instead of iodized salt because your kidneys do care about the amount of salt when they see it.
