Good news has arrived for Indians: GST collection in August is Rs 1.9 lakh crore, which is an increase of 14.8 percent. The GST collection in August last year was 1.74 lakh crore. GST revenue from domestic transactions increased to 1.37 lakh crore and has grown by 9.3 percent. The import revenue has increased by 29 percent, and this marks double-digit growth in GST revenue. Growth of GST revenue was 13.9 percent in June and 15.4 percent in July.
The central GST collections are Rs 38,413 crore, and State GST revenue is Rs 46,316 crore, and refunds increased by 68 percent in August to Rs 31,795 crore. This shows an 8.3 percent increase year-on-year. The total GST revenue for the April to August period increased to Rs 10.43 lakh crore.
